An award-winning poet, novelist, political theorist, feminist activist, journalist, editor, and best-selling author, Robin Morgan has published seven poetry collections (including her recent book of poems, Dark Matter), four novels, and eleven books of nonfiction on social justice issues—primarily feminism—including her fourth novel, Parallax; her best-seller The Demon Lover: The Roots of Terrorism; and the now-classic anthologies Sisterhood Is Powerful, Sisterhood Is Global, and Sisterhood Is Forever.
A recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Prize (Poetry) and numerous other honors, and a former editor-in-chief of Ms. magazine, she co-founded The Sisterhood Is Global Institute with Simone de Beauvoir and co-founded the Women’s Media Center with Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinem. An architect and leader of contemporary U.S. feminism, she has also been a leader in the international women’s movement for 35 years.
